8.03.10
I decided recently that I love the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. That will be all...

Deer Tick: Little White Lies/These Old Shoes off of Born on Flag Day
These guys are easily one of my favorite bands. They're pretty awesome and primarily play indie-folk rock, but I would categorize them as avante-garde bluegrass. They even cover some R&B/Reggae songs (see Sean Kingston's Beautiful Girls) and put an origional spin on them.

Santigold: Les Artistes off of her self titled album
Santi is great. Her music is an eclectic mix of rap, post-punk and electronica. I'm listening to her right now at the office, but was lucky enough to see her in concert with Krystin and some of my friends in Washington, D.C. for Powershift: where some of us lobbied for clean energy legislation at the capitol the next day.

Arcade Fire: Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels) off of Funeral
6.28.10
This band is phenomenal and really good for production while working at the office.

The National: Squalor Victoria off of Boxer
6.27.10
I just started listening to the national after hearing about them from a few friends who went to see them in concert. They have a lot of albums. Currently I'm working on Boxer and its good stuff. I recommend you give them a listen.

Dirty Projectors: Bitte Orca off of, well, Bitte Orca.
6.24.10 (Listening to via my brick, the Zune, gotta love it!)

Long story short, Dirty Projectors are good (most of the time). This album showcases the bulk of those times. This band is exceptionally experimental and indigenous idie. Check them out.
